WILLS: YOURS or the FATHERS
Bible Text: Matt. 7:15-21, Rom. 12:1-2 | Preacher: Pastor Lowery |
Notice that Matt. 7:15 begins with “Beware of false prophets” today many are telling you that if it feels good do it, (your will). Read the verses 16-20 then look strongly at verse 21, “Not everyone that saith unto me Lord, Lord, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he that doeth the WILL of my Father which is in Heaven. Will can be a noun or a verb as a noun it names a PERSON, PLACE, or THING, as a verb WILL means Action. Both can mean Determination .
NAME: put yours in, PLACE: Where the Fathers wants you to be, THING: What the Father wants you to be doing. Even when Jesus, God’s own Son prayed, He said “Not my will but thine be done” Remember only he that doeth the WILL of the Father enters in.
This is why Paul the Apostle was inspired to pen the words in Rom. 12:1-2,” I beseech you therefore brethren by the mercies of God that you (Our will) present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2. And be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect WILL OF GOD. So this is telling me that you, and every born again believer must surrender our WILL to the WILL of God the Father if we are to please Him and to enter into His Peace and comfort of His Kingdom which is in Heaven.
